Firmly linked to the tradition and the territory to which it belongs,
the Terra Fageto winery is a wonderful example of
the quality products made in the Piceno area.
Claudio Di Ruscio, the third generation of the family who own the estate,
runs Terra Fageto with the same passion and care as that of his ancestors and now
has the fourth generation working along side him.
This treasure of experience passed down through the generations
is combined the research and experimentation which,
with the use of modern technology both in the vineyards and in the winery
have allowed the company to be part of the qualitative revoluion that
the world of wine production has witnessed these past years.
The estate also produces an excellent extra virgin olive oil from its small but high quality cultivation
of olive trees and the vine cultivation takes up 18 of the 20 hectares of the estate.
The land is mostly in the hills between the counties of Campofilone and Pedaso,
that look out onto the Adriatic sea, the vines are set out on a north-south axis
and are cultivated on soil of limeclay that is exposed to the sun at midday halfway up the slopes.
This fortunate combination of micro-climatic conditions together with the extreme care
taken in the selection of the clones for the vine shoots and the maintenance of the vines
give the end result of excellent grapes which are the basis of all fine, quality winemaking.
Again equal care and attention is paid to the work that follows both during the harvest and
then in the winery where the Di Ruscio family work together with the winemaker Pierluigi Lorenzetti.
Tradition and innovation are combined to give the result of quality wines
with typical characteristics, capable of giving harmonious sensations.
Respect for the land is an essential part of those family values that in the winery business are primary objectives. The use of nature friendly agricultural methods and alternative energy sources (The winery is self sufficient as for its energy needs by using solar power) guarantee the genuineness of the product as well as the preservation of the environment.
